Our current approach to cookies
This website does not use analytics, advertising pixels or other tracking technologies. It only sets the cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work. The one exception is the Google map on our Contact page, which only loads if you choose to allow it (see below).
Strictly necessary cookies
- ktcs-construction-session keeps your visit working between pages, for example when you submit the quote or contact form. It expires after two hours of inactivity.
- XSRF-TOKEN protects our forms against cross-site request forgery. It expires after two hours.
These cookies do not track you and cannot be switched off without stopping the forms from working.
Your cookie choice
When you click Accept or Decline on our cookie banner, we remember your choice in your browser's local storage (under the name ktcs_cookie_choice) so the banner is not shown again. This is not sent to us.
Google Maps on the Contact page
Our Contact page can show an embedded Google map. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads, so it is only loaded if you click Accept on the cookie banner or press the Load map button. If you do neither, no Google cookies are set. Google's use of cookies is described in Google's own privacy and cookie policies.
If this changes
If we introduce non-essential cookies or tracking in future (for example, website analytics), we will update this policy first and ask for your consent through the cookie-consent banner before any non-essential cookie is placed, in line with UK PECR/data-protection guidance.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how parts of this website function.
