Information we collect

When you request a quotation, contact us or otherwise use this website, we may collect: your name, email address, phone number, property address/postcode, project details and any photographs, plans or files you choose to upload, and standard website usage data (see "Website analytics, cookies and tracking" below).

How and why we use personal data

We use this information to respond to enquiries and quotation requests, to plan and deliver building/renovation work you instruct us to carry out, to maintain records of work completed, and — only where you have separately opted in — to send you occasional marketing updates.

Lawful bases

We rely on: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into one (quotations and project delivery); legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, maintaining business records); consent (marketing communications, non-essential cookies); and legal obligation (accounting, health and safety, and building-control records where applicable).

Enquiries and quotations

Details submitted through the quote form are stored so we can respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation and follow up. If your enquiry does not proceed to a project, we retain the record for a reasonable period for our own business records unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Contracts and project delivery

Where you instruct us to carry out work, we use your details to plan, schedule, deliver and invoice that work, and to meet any related legal, health and safety or building-control obligations.

Suppliers, subcontractors and professional advisers

We may share relevant project details with subcontractors, suppliers or professional advisers (such as structural engineers or building-control bodies) where this is necessary to deliver or approve your project.

Website analytics, cookies and tracking

See our Cookie Policy for details of any cookies or tracking technologies used on this site and how to manage your preferences.

Marketing communications

We only send marketing communications where you have given clear, separate consent (for example, by ticking the optional marketing box on our quote form). You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

Photographs, project case studies and reviews

We may use photographs of completed work in our portfolio, case studies and marketing, using only the town and postcode district of residential projects (not a full address) unless the property owner has given express consent to publish more detail. Commercial client names are used only where we have permission or a clear contractual basis to do so. Reviews and testimonials are published as genuinely given, without alteration to their substance.

How long we keep data

We keep enquiry and project records for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above and to meet our legal, accounting and insurance obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

International transfers

We do not routinely transfer personal data outside the UK. If a supplier or service we use in future stores data outside the UK, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

Your UK data-protection rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.

How to complain to the ICO

If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
