Structural & Extension Works
Brickwork, Blockwork & Structural Alterations
KTCS Construction undertakes masonry and structural alteration works that support extensions, refurbishments, layout changes and external improvements. Structural work is planned around the design information and approvals required for the specific property.
What we can include
- New brickwork and blockwork
- Extension walls
- Garden and boundary walls
- Repointing and local masonry repairs
- Creating or altering openings
- Load-bearing wall removal
- RSJ/steel-beam installation to structural design
- Temporary support for structural alterations
- Chimney-breast/stack removal where designed and permitted
- Structural strengthening and making good
- Associated plastering and finishing
How we approach the work
Load-bearing alterations and chimney removals are not treated as ordinary demolition. The correct sequence may require structural calculations, building-control approval, temporary works and checks on party-wall, shared chimney or other property constraints. KTCS carries out the construction stage to the issued requirements and coordinates making good afterwards.
