Plan around daily operations
Discuss which areas must remain available and how work zones will be separated from staff, customers or residents. Safe access and protection of people affected by the works need to be planned from the outset.
Consider whether the project can be completed in phases. Agree arrangements for furniture, equipment, materials, waste removal and the daily handover of working areas.
Before intrusive refurbishment, establish whether asbestos information or an appropriate survey is required.
Specify the complete decorating scope
Confirm whether the quotation covers ceilings, doors, frames, skirting boards and metalwork—not just walls. Discuss preparation, repairs and finishes appropriate to the setting and its cleaning requirements.
